Monday, May 7, 2012
Financial Town Meeting will be held at 7:00 p.m. May 7, 2012 in the school cafeteria.  The Warrant for the meeting is posted at Town Hall, the New Shoreham Police Station, the Island Free Library and the Block Island Grocery.

JOB ANNOUNCEMENT
Library -Circulation Clerk
Full time with Benefits
Salary:  $11.36-$15.10/hr
JOB OBJECTIVE:  This position performs a variety of clerical and technical duties. Assignments typically involve checking out and receiving materials; receiving payments; providing general information to patrons and maintaining the Library in an orderly fashion.
LEVEL OF AUTHORITY: Performs routine and repetitive duties independently with only     general supervision and according to well-known practices and procedures. Performs relatively more complex assignments and specialized functions under close and frequent supervision.                 Responsibility for accuracy and courtesy is important due to potential adverse Library patron relationships.
General Requirements:  High School diploma or GED required.  Prior library experience preferred and excellent communication skills.
