RI DEM parking permits for the lot in Galilee will be on sale at the Police Station from 8:00 am to 2:00 pm on Monday, April 23, 2012.
A parking placard shall be issued for up to two vehicles per principal residence, which is listed on the application. Each parking placard is valid for either of the two vehicles listed on the placard. Only one vehicle listed on the parking placard is allowed in parking lot G per day.
All vehicles entering parking lot G must display its assigned parking placard in such a manner that the placard can be easily read. POSITIVELY NO EXCEPTIONS.
ANY INFRACTIONS OF THE RULES WILL RESULT IN REVOCATION OF
PLACARD
Applicants must appear in person with their license and registration, in their name. If applying for two cars, both registrations are required and the person to whom each car is registered must be present.
Fees are:
RI resident (RI drivers license) - $150.00
RI senior (65 & older)  - $ 75.00
Out of state resident - $250.00
Check or cash only; checks payable to State of Rhode Island.
Applications available at Town Half and the Police Station. Permits will be on sale at the Galilee lot on April 23, 2012. For questions, please call the DEM Office at 783-5551.

REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS: LANDSCAPING
The Block Island Housing Board is seeking sealed proposals for the installation of a landscape buffer, consisting of two planted rows of suitable vegetation totaling approximately 120 linear feet. Said work shall be located on Lots 42-2 and 42-3 on Assessor’s Plat 19.
Proposals will be received until 3:00PM on May 10, 2012, at the New Shoreham Town Hall. Correctly submitted proposals will be publicly opened and read aloud at 7:00PM on May 10,2012, at the New Shoreham Town Hall.
Single proposals for the entirety of the work will be accepted, and shall be plainly marked on the outside of the sealed envelope as:

All proposals shall be plainly marked on the outside of the sealed envelope with the bidder’s name, address, and telephone number or other contact information.
