He was a dedicated family man and spent the majority of his retirement years caring for his handicapped son. Besides his loving wife, Therese, he is survived by his daughter Margaret Kent and her husband Donald Thimble of Block Island, his dear and close brother Bill and his wife Mary of Montville and Florida. Oliver also leaves many supportive and caring nieces and nephews, and the kindest of neighbors. Oliver was predeceased by his two sons, Robert Oliver and Charles Quinn, and his sister Irene Sajkowicz. Visitation will be on Friday, July 11, from 5-7 p.m. at the Cummings Funeral Home on 82 Cliff St. in Norwich, Conn. The funeral service will be on Saturday, July 12 at 10 a.m. at the funeral home.
