New Town Manager named
The New Shoreham Town Council voted unanimously (4-0) to select Edward Roberge as the town’s new Town Manager pending a contract agreement. First Warden Ken Lacoste made the motion, which was seconded by Second Warden Norris Pike at the Town Council’s meeting on Monday night. Councilor Chris Willi and interim Town Manager Shirlyne Gobern were absent.
Lacoste said the naming of Roberge as Town Manager was the result of an “exhaustive” search effort by the town’s two appointed search committees: a five-member town employee committee and a seven-member community committee. Lacoste also credited Willi, who served as the committees’ ex officio Chair, as well as Gobern and Town Clerk Molly Fitzpatrick with their role in the search process.
Roberge, a resident of Bow, New Hampshire, is currently the City Engineer for the City of Concord, a position he has held since 2005. He was among a field of 53 Town Manager candidates vying for the town’s Town Manager position.
