Justin T. Tracy, 30
Justin T. Tracy, of Narragansett and Block Island, passed away Sunday, May 13, 2012.
He was the husband of Mariah C. (McCabe) Tracy, to whom he had been married for three years. Born in Westerly, he was the son of Hunter Tracy of Bangor, Me., and the late Diana (Brown) Tracy. His step-mother was Judie B. Tracy. Justin attended the Block Island School from kindergarten through grade 12.
Besides his wife and father he leaves his three children, Noah, McKenzie and Natalie; a sister, Kelly Leone of Block Island; two brothers, Jason Tracy of Richmond and Daniel Tracy of Bangor, Me.; paternal grandmother, Betty (Thompson) Tracy; maternal grandparents, Everett and Barbara (Westcott) Brown, uncles Adam and Stephen Brown and several nieces and nephews. He was the grandson of the late William Tracy
Justin’s greatest joy came from being with family and friends. He loved to bring loved ones together to tell jokes and stories. He had a beautifully infectious laugh and an amazing ability to find the best in everyone.
He was a wonderful father who adored his children and took his role as a father very seriously. He enjoyed playing sports with his son Noah and took on the role of Mr. Mom with his two daughters, McKenzie and Natalie, when the girls were young.
He and his older brother Jason were like two peas in a pod and his younger brother Daniel simply adored him. Justin and his sister Kelly were also very close, and she is devastated by his loss.
Justin and his father had an extremely close relationship, cooking great meals and drinking fine red wine together. They also loved to watch baseball. Justin's stand-in mother, Judie, cared for him as if he was her own son for 24 years.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a graveside service at 12 p.m. on Friday, May 18, 2012, at the Island Cemetery on Block Island. Following the service the family has extended an invitation to all to return to Aldo’s Restaurant on Weldon's Way. For online condolences, please visit www.henault-gallogly.com
