Hotel Manisses staff offers to shop on the mainland
A note to our readers from the staff of the Hotel Manisses:
As we navigate through a challenging time together, we extend our deepest appreciation for our Hotel Manisses friends and family. We continue to receive and follow guidance and directives from the Centers for Disease Control and the R.I. Department Of Health, and will share additional business updates, postcards of Block Island and seasonal recipes in the upcoming weeks via social media.
We strongly encourage the continued support of our dedicated local resources including; the Block Island Grocery and Island Hardware as much as possible. However, we have taken notice of islanders posting of challenges in receiving timely provisions due to limited available resources and or delayed shipments. With the added tangle of whether or not you may risk our community by choosing to sail off island, please choose to be socially responsible.
Our management team is currently anchored on the mainland, should our Block Island family and friends need us to gather provisions for delivery to freight, do not hesitate to reach out to us at firstname.lastname@example.org for additional support.
Hotel Manisses will be hosting a community freight bin through the Block Island Ferry for the orders we gather, and we are currently working in collaboration with WhatsGood (https://sourcewhatsgood.com/), a Crave Food Systems farmers market hub for online ordering and curbside pick ups on Mondays.
Once freight arrives, we also recommend SeaPod services for freight to door delivery on Block Island. Contact SeaPod directly at (401) 871-5061 to coordinate your estimated delivery time.
It is our pleasure to assist, our main focus is to ensure we do our part to keep our Block Island community well and we look forward to contributing to the resilience and much expected recovery of the hospitality industry.
Together, we will get through this!
