Common Ground Summer Concert Series

Block Island's own Lokie will debut original songs from his debut album, “Wings,” on Friday, July 19 at Harbor Church 7:30 p.m. Don't miss this performance.

The Nature Conservancy & Block Island Conservancy

The TNC and BIC co-sponsor free, guided nature programs throughout the year. Together, they offer many different ways to connect to the fields, marshes, and beaches that make the island so exceptional. Check out the advertisement on page 19. Saturday, July 20 at the Island Free Library 10 to 11 a.m., NAMI BI invites everyone to watch a TED talk with Deborah Frieze: “How I Became a Localist.” Join us in discussion, agree or disagree

Book Signing at Island Bound Bookstore

Author Larry Smith will appear on Saturday, July 20 at 5 p.m., to read from and sign copies of his book, “Hidden Hearts; The Peterborough Letters.” The letters offer a fascinating glimpse into a world long gone. The public is invited.

55th Annual Barbershop Quartet Concert

Saturday, July 20 at St. Andrew Church on Chapel St. at 8 p.m. Tickets are $25 and the proceeds go to the Mary D. Fund. They can be purchased at the Red Bird and at the door.

American Legion Family Picnic
