Camouflaged Egg Hunt
Children ages 3 to 10 set out in search for brown eggs and quickly realize how well they camouflage in the natural world. Prizes are awarded to all children, with grand prizes given to the finders of the "golden eggs." Bring a basket. Check-in begins at 9:30 a.m.; the Egg Hunt starts promptly at 10 a.m., rain or shine. $5 per member child; $7 per non-member child. Spring Festival at Carousel Village
Welcome spring! Meet the Easter Bunny, enjoy animal encounters with some of the Zoo's ambassador animals, take unlimited carousel rides and enjoy endless jumps in the bounce house. The Providence Harbor Ship Graveyard
Marine Archaeologist David Robinson will discuss his research and mapping of the largest ship graveyard in the Ocean State. Spread across thirty-three acres of Green Jacket Shoal off Bold Point in Providence Harbor, David's teams discovered five steamboats, six sailing ships, and fifteen barges. Two of his more notable finds include the Mount Hope and the Bay Queen, both iconic paddle-wheel steamships from the 1800s. Free; space is limited; registration recommended. Save the Bay Seal Tours
From October through April, Save The Bay offers one-hour seasonal seal watching tours aboard the M/V Alletta Morris from Bowen's Ferry Landing in Newport, and Viking Marina in Westerly.
